Located in the Nebraska, we have a diverse number of species of wild game that we pursue in our region. We hunt whitetail & mule deer, waterfowl, turkeys, wild pheasant and quail as well as predators such as bobcat and coyotes.

We are committed to creating a memorable experience for each of our clients.

Our lodge is centrally located on an approximate 800 acre ranch with a number of amenities. You can enjoy the scenery in the mornings and evenings from the patio and watch deer, waterfowl and listen to the pheasant cackling as the sun sets. It's truly an amazing place to take in.

We believe in being stewards of the land and put into the habitat more than what we take and that has led to a rewarding and successful hunting and experiences year after year.

Jim Hartmann | Co-Owner

Jim Hartmann has been an avid outdoorsman beginning at a young age. Growing up in Northern Wisconsin, Jim and his twin brother Jerry, spent most weekends with their dad Mark, hunting deer, grouse and waterfowl. Jim hunts and fishes all over North America and has a deep interest in conservation and improving habitat. Waterfowl hunting has become one of Jim's main passions and he and his black lab goose guide numerous hunts throughout the region.

Adam Wells | Co-Owner

Adam has been guiding fly fishing, big game, upland bird and waterfowl hunts for more than 30 years, averaging 200 days a year outdoors. In addition to guiding full time, Adam manages and/or owns several ranches, lodging operations and outfitting businesses. He was also a co-host for Outback Outdoors, an outdoor TV show that aired on the Sportsman’s Channel for 10 years. His passion in the outdoors now is to create the highest quality habitat possible for the game he pursues and bring not just success but knowledge of the outdoors, wildlife and habitat to his clients.

Goose & Rocky | Head Gun Dogs

At the heart of our hunts are two exceptional retrievers who bring experience, drive, and personality to every day in the field.

Goose is an AKC Master National titled dog with an elite pedigree and an unmatched passion for retrieving waterfowl and flushing upland birds. Owned by Jim Hartmann and professionally trained by Jessie Lee Richards of Full Throttle Kennel, Goose spends his off-season competing in AKC field trials or relaxing dockside at a lake in Northern Wisconsin. His precision, discipline, and natural instincts make him a true asset in any hunting scenario.

Rocky, the original dog of the Nebraska ranch, is a seasoned veteran nearing retirement but still hunts with the same grit and determination that built his reputation. Owned by Adam Wells, Rocky earned his name through relentless drive and a refusal to quit—whether chasing down waterfowl or working pheasant and quail in the uplands. His experience and heart in the field have made him a cornerstone of the operation.

Together, Goose and Rocky represent the standard of excellence we bring to every hunt—combining top-tier training, real-world experience, and an undeniable love for the work.
